Robinhood Launches Crypto Integration For DApps And Wallets
Robinhood has announced a new product called Robinhood Connect that will enable its customers to seamlessly buy and transfer cryptocurrencies as well as fund their Web3 wallets directly from within dApps and wallets. This on-ramp feature provides an easy way for anyone with a Robinhood balance to purchase Bitcoin or other tokens instantly and transfer them into their wallet.
Low-Cost On-Ramp To Web3
Robinhood Connect is an affordable on-ramp solution for users who want to add funds to their wallet from decentralised applications or third party wallets without ever leaving the dApp. This allows developers to easily embed this feature into their projects so that customers can buy tokens via the brokerage platform and send them into self-custody wallets.
Giddy Among First Mobile Wallets To Integrate Feature
Giddy, a self-custody recoverable smart wallet app powered by Polygon, was among the first mobile wallets to integrate this new feature. It will also be rolled out across other platforms over time.
Commitment To Crypto Adoption
The launch of Robinhood Connect demonstrates the platform’s strong commitment towards crypto adoption, making it more accessible while boosting usability in a secure way. According to Johann Kerbrat, General Manager at Robinhood Crypto: “Crypto and Web3 have the potential to change the future of the financial system for the better, but we recognize there are still significant hurdles preventing broader adoption”.
With this new product from Robinhood, anyone with access to cryptocurrency can easily fund their Web3 wallet without ever leaving the application they’re using – all while enjoying low transaction costs associated with buying or transferring crypto assets!
