Paul Pratchenko | Inconsistency of Conclusion
Reception: 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

In Paul Pratchenko's thirty years as an artist, the focus of his art has moved toward a more idiosyncratic narrative style. Working extensively with symbolic surrealistic representation, Pratchenko conjures memories and dreams from the "real" world and uses the resulting images in his paintings.

Conceptually the newest work explores the interface between wilderness and human habitation and the assumptions that people bring to these geographical locations. Paul Pratchenko is a Professor of Art, Painting and Drawing at San Francisco State University, California.
