Jun Kaneko
Reception: May 27, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Jun Kaneko, recognized for his boldly patterned ceramic sculptures that he calls Dangos, is interested in the spirit inherent in created objects, both through their scale as well as the relationship between size and mark making. Jun Kaneko communicates a vitality in his sculptures that immediately connects with the viewer.

Jun Kaneko's work represents a hybrid of cultures, the control of the Japanese combined with the freedom of exploration in the West.
