Stephen Bondi and Friends
Reception: January 8, 2005, 3-5PM
In the late 1960's the art of blacksmithing was on the verge
of disappearing in the United States. In 1973 a group interested
in this field met to exchange ideas and information. One
of these individuals was Stephen Bondi (1948-2004) who studied
at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia
and Alma College in Michigan.
Stephen Bondi inspired those who worked with him as well
as his colleagues who were eager to participate in this new
artistic iron movement. Exhibiting their
work as a tribute to Stephen Bondi are Michael Bondi, E.A. Chase, Toby Hickman,
Russell Jaqua, Tom Joyce, Dennis Luedeman and Bill Roan. |
